SHOT- opening
|
This shot will show the artist ‘Miguel’ walking to the music studio,
to meet with ‘Travis Scott’ to begin recording of their song ‘Skywalker’. The
transition to the main music video will begin when the camera quickly looks
up to the ceiling, and then transitions to the start of the music video.
|
As the
camera follows the artist into the music studio, we won’t be able to see
their face until they get into the studio and meet with the other artist.
|

(L-R)- ESTABLISHING

This short clip will establish the mood of the video.

MID PANNING
(L-R) SHOT- start of the song
|
This shot
will be a slow pan from left to right of a dark setting with ‘Miguel’
stood in front of a light impairing his face. He will be
wearing some kind of glasses.

As the
camera pans, ‘Miguel’ will keep looking straight ahead, but will move his
head as the camera passes him. This shot will be in the evening.

This shot will also be in the dark.

|
This will be 'Miguel' dancing to the song as he performs the lyrics.

Movement with dancing- camera will move from side to side slowly.

will be dancing/ performing the lyrics with a spotlight on him. This is to
show the importance of ‘Miguel’. 'cap and a stem catch a wave on us, take a shot make a friend just enjoy the moment, i'm Luke Skywalking on these haters'

This shot
will be 'Miguel' alone to make his importance more explicit.

will be performing the line ‘celebrate
everyday like a birthday’.
This shot will then transition with the camera panning sideways quickly and into the next shot.

will show ‘Miguel’ performing the line ‘good
things come to those that wait up…’

This will be

The music in
this shot will be slightly dimmed until ‘Miguel’ smiles at
the camera. The shot will then cut.

‘Miguel’
will be in the middle of a group of extras who are standing around him
wearing all-black/dark outfits. Miguel will be wearing a brilliant white shirt to
link between the lyrics and the video. ‘I’m
outstanding so I stand out’

This will
just be to fill in the space of the line ‘got
more baes than a bathhouse’ due to lack of females who want to take part
in my video.

‘Miguel’
will throw a basketball over his head without looking at the net and score.
This shows his confidence, and as they lyrics ‘top gun on my Tom Cruise, I play for keeps and I don’t lose’.
This is to link between the visuals and lyrics.

There will
be no extras in this shot. Just ‘Miguel’.

‘Miguel’ is
stood alone, wind blowing as he looks out over the land, lip syncing
the lyrics as the camera pans.

SHOT/CLOSE UP SHOT- slow zoom out

‘Miguel’
will be stood in a parking lot with a bag of crisps, and eating them as the
lyrics ‘pick your poison yeah I got
what you need…’

This is done
as an intertextual reference to a different music video in which Young Thug
is eating crisps. It is also done this way because I do not want to promote
drugs/alcohol with my music video.

CLOSE UP
|
‘Miguel’ is
shown holding a piece of lettuce and after performing the line ‘got the green on rotation all night, we gon’ keep it psychedelic…’ he takes
a bite of the broccoli. ‘Miguel’ will be stood by a salad bar.

This shot
will show ‘Miguel’ wearing a green shirt instead of the other shirt to add to
the link between visuals and lyrics.

MID SHOT
|
‘Miguel’
will be performing the chorus. This shot will be similar to those I gathered
for the first chorus. There will be a snippet of the two artistsbefore it cuts to ‘Travis Scott’s’ verse.

There will
be an overlay over the snippet of ‘Travis’ and ‘Miguel’.
|

MID SHOT
|
The shot
will quickly cut to a new scene with Travis on a stage. There will
be bright lights behind them so it will be unclear who has come out to
perform this new verse, and create the imagery of a spectre emerging out of
thin air.

‘Travis’
will be wearing a gold and diamond chain around his neck. It will be hard to see his face and he will appear as a ghostly figure.

EXTREME
CLOSE UP
|
When the
line ‘in my 23s having a Jordan moment’
there will be an extreme close up shot of a pair of Nike 'air force 1' basketball shoes.
It will slowly pan over the air force 1's logo as the line is delivered.

The lighting
will be dark, but the 'Nike' logo will be clearly visible as it will be
the main focus of the shot.

MID CLOSE UP
|
When
‘Travis’ performs the line ‘wildin’
with the paper (it’s lit)’ the shot will show ‘Travis’ will have a
handful of cash, waving it in front of the camera and throwing it around.

CLOSE UP
|
‘Ice all on my chain, imma…’
Once
‘Travis’ has performed the first part of the line ‘Miguel’ This shot will then cut to a close up of ‘Travis’

The focus of this shot will be on 'Travis' and his diamond chain.

SHOT/MID SHOT

‘Travis’ will be dancing and
hanging out. ‘Travis’ will be performing his line ‘I just popped two, I’ll be stayin’ up, hangin’ with the gang that is
dangerous, I can’t f*ck you with my chain this sh*t tangle up, come and catch
a wave take one out my cup…’

will have a cup of juice, and may sip throughout the scene. There will be bright light which lights the shot up.
I may choose to add a different lighting source later on during production.

MID SHOT
|
‘Travis’ is inside, in the same scene as before with bright lights
behind him as he continue to perform the song. ‘damn near OD’d, damn the police, wildin’ in SV, moving up your
street…’
|
The lights
will have changed colour to red, as a visual
representation of the ‘heat’ that their lyrics are giving off and is a
recurring theme throughout the video.

MID-CLOSE UP
|
This will be
another quick shot of ‘Travis’ and ‘Miguel’ as they
listen to ‘Travis’s’ verse while they drink orange juice. There will be a
carton of juice and some cups on a table in the back. ’when we on the creek and bring sand to the beach, aint no day, aint
no night, made no plans, aint no sleep, (yeah, yeah)’

MID SHOT
|
‘Miguel’ and
‘Travis’ will be dancing and performing the chorus, which will be intercut
with footage from the whole video, including a few seconds of behind the
scenes clips.

will be dancing and performing the bridge of the song in various places. ‘Travis’ may be in the background.

‘Miguel’ walking in reverse to the studio to perform again. This will have a static effect overlaying the shot.
